DELHI GOVERNMENT IMPOSES TAX ON LIQUOR

On Monday, The Sale Of Liquor Broke All The Records All Over The India, Generating A Good Amount Of Revenue For The Government

The Government Of Delhi Imposed “Special Corona Fee” Tax On Sale Of Liquors From Tuesday
 
  • AS THE LIQUOR SHOPS WERE OPENED ON MONDAY, THE SALE OF LIQUOR BROKE ALL THE RECORDS ALL OVER THE INDIA, GENERATING A GOOD AMOUNT OF REVENUE FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA
     
  • IN VIEW OF THIS , THE GOVERNMENT OF DELHI IMPOSED “SPECIAL CORONA FEE” TAX ON SALE OF LIQUORS FROM TUESDAY.
     
  • THE MAIN IDEA BEHIND LEVY OF THIS TAX IS TO BOOST THE GOVERNMENT REVENUE WHICH THE GOVERNMENT HAS FACED A LOSS DURING THE DAYS OF LOCKDOWN.
     
  • THE RATE OF TAX SHALL BE 70 % ON THE MRP AMOUNT OF THE LIQUOR BOTTLES. 
     
  • AS THE GOVERNMENT ALSO KNOWS, INSPITE OF INCREASE OF THE RATES OF LIQUOR PEOPLE WILL THEN ALSO BUY THE SAME. AS DURING THE LOCKDOWN ALSO PEOPLE WERE BUYING THE LIQUOR BOTTLES AT A 3 TIMES PRICE OF THE ORIGINAL PRICE.
     
  • WITH THE EASE OF NORMS IN CASE OF LOCKDOWN, THE GOVERNMENT IS TAKING STEPS TO RECOVER THE LOSS THAT GOVERNMENT HAS SUFFERED IN VIEW OF THE LOCKDOWN.
     
  • ALSO MEASURES FOR RECOVERY HAS TO BE TAKEN KEEPING IN MIND THAT THE MIDDLE CLASS AND PEOPLE BELOW POVERTY LINE DO NOT SUFFER FROM THE SAME.
